A Visit from The Digital DNA Project

Last week, the EnDROIDS group hosted Stefano Mazzilli Daechsel from the research project Digital DNA based at Oslo University.

Last week, our EnDROIDS group had the wonderful opportunity of hosting Stefano Mazzilli Daechsel from the research project Digital DNA.

Stefano and his team, led by Dr Mareile Kaufmann are examining How does DNA evidence change when it is integrated with digital technologies? And what happens to digital technologies when they are integrated with biology?

During the visit, we started off with meet-and-greet, then Stefano walked us through the project’s insights. This fostered an interesting dialogue which carried on over our group lunch. Stefano stayed for three days during which he carried out interviews with the group members and got to know our lab.

It was the beginning of what we hope will be a long-standing collaborative relationship. Stefano’s work with the DigitalDNA project resonates deeply with our own mission at EnDROIDS – to innovate and explore.

We wish Stefano and Dr Kaufmann best wishes and we eagerly anticipate your future findings.
