Emanuella Torelli’s Collaborative Visit to Turing Politech
In April 2024, Emanuella Torelli visited the Turing Politech in Italy, to discuss new scientific collaboration opportunities. Emanuella’s host was Professor Enzo Mario Di Fabrizio from the Department of Applied Science and Technology.
Emanuella’s Talk on Engineering Nucleic Acids
As a part of the visit, Emanuella gave a lecture titled ‘Engineering Nucleic Acids: From Bio-Orthogonal Nanostructures to Dynamic Stack Memories for Potential In Vivo Applications’ (https://www.disat.polito.it/news/allegato/(idnews)/22997/(ord)/0/(idc)). In her talk, Emanuella focused on the potential of bio-orthogonal nanostructures. These nanostructures hold the promise for revolutionizing medical treatments and diagnostic techniques. The lecture also explored nucleic acids engineering, showcasing how building blocks of life can be re-engineered to create sophisticated nanostructures with remarkable applications.
A Future of Innovation and Collaboration
Emanuella’s visit to Turing Politech was centred around discussions for potential joint research, with the aim of forging collaborative programme harnessing the combined expertise of both institutions.
